چکیده
The Dutch Surgical Aneurysm Audit (DSAA) initiative was established in 2013 to monitor and improve nationwide outcomes of aortic aneurysm surgery. objective this study examine whether surgery for intact abdominal aneurysms (iAAA) have improved over time. Patients who underwent primary repair an iAAA by standard endovascular (EVAR) or open surgical (OSR) between 2014 2019 were selected from the DSAA inclusion. outcome peri-operative mortality trend per year, stratified OSR EVAR. Secondary trends year major complications, textbook (TbO), characteristics treated patients. evaluated reported odds ratios year. In study, 11 624 patients (74.8%) EVAR 3 908 (25.2%) OSR. For EVAR, after adjustment confounding factors, there no improvement (aOR [adjusted ratio] 1.06, 95% CI 0.94 – 1.20), while complications decreased (2014: 10.1%, 2019: 7.0%; aOR 0.91, 0.88 0.95) TbO rate increased 68.1%, 80.9%; 1.13, 1.10 1.16). OSR, 6.1%, 4.6%; 0.89, 0.82 0.98), as well 28.6%, 23.3%; 0.95, 0.91 0.99). Furthermore, proportion 49.1%, 58.3%; 1.05, 1.01 1.10). both group, with cardiac comorbidity increased. Since establishment quality (DSAA), all following improved, except which remained unchanged.

متن کاملAcute (non-ruptured) abdominal aortic aneurysms.
Abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) can present electively or acutely. The type of presentation influences operative mortality. That following elective repair is approximately 5%. 1 However, this group of patients can be subdivided into those presenting with and those without symptoms, the former tending to have greater risk of death following repair. 2 AAA presenting acutely may or may not be rup...
متن کامل[Endovascular treatment of ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms].
Currently, two treatment options for ruptured abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA) are available: conventional open surgical repair and endovascular minimally invasive repair. Open repair carries a significant morbidity and mortality rate, most probably due to the combined effects of general anaesthesia and surgical exposure. Based on anatomical characteristics as assessed by CT scan, approximately...
